Dota 2 AI coach

A Dota 2 AI coach that talks to you while you play

Highground watches your Dota 2 match as it happens and speaks up at the moment it matters: a gank is coming, a fight is turning, your next item should change. Short calls in your ear, the same call on your in-game HUD.

Free to start. Windows 10 and 11, from the Microsoft Store. No card, no Dota login.

What a live AI coach does in a Dota 2 match

Danger warnings

Warns you before a gank lands. A trained model reads where you stand, which enemies are missing and for how long they have been out of sight.

Fight calls

Whether to take a fight, leave it or back off, when help is coming and how far away, pickoff chances, and enemy buybacks and respawns that change a fight.

Item advice

Your next item in three columns: the common next item for your hero, the best fit against this lineup, and utility options against one specific enemy.

Draft help

On the pick screen, the open heroes for your position, ranked by the win-% points each adds against the picks so far.

Timers

Countdowns for power, bounty and wisdom runes, lotus, camp stacks, Roshan and Tormentor.

Lane brief and review

Your role, their carry, your carry and your job when the lane starts. When the match ends, a review: your farm against a benchmark and every death with who killed you.

How the AI coach works

  1. It reads the game the way streaming tools do. Dota 2 shares match state with third-party tools through Valve's Game State Integration. Highground reads that feed and the visible parts of your game window, like OBS does. It never reads game memory, injects code, changes other game files or plays for you.
  2. Trained models read the situation. Danger, fights, items and draft come from models trained on pro matches and Divine+ pub matches. The models decide whether a call is worth making now; exact clocks, like rune timers, are plain timers.
  3. One coach on every screen. The voice, the in-game HUD, the app and the stream overlay show the same call, so they never disagree.

It is not a chatbot. You do not type to it and it does not improvise: every line it speaks is a fixed, approved sentence, so it says the same thing the same way every time. How the voice works.

What it is not

Questions

Is Highground really an AI coach?

Its calls come from trained models that read your live match: danger, fights, items and draft. It is not a chatbot and not a person: it says fixed, approved lines at the moment its models judge a call worth making.

Does it coach in real time, while I play?

Yes. It reads your game as it is played and speaks during the match, not after it. A call can still be wrong or late, so treat it as a second opinion; you decide what to do.

Can I get banned for using it?

Highground reads Valve's Game State Integration feed and visible parts of your Dota window. It does not read game memory, inject code or automate play. Highground is independent of Valve and has no Valve approval; we cannot guarantee account safety or future enforcement decisions.

What does it cost?

Plus is $5.99 monthly or $49.99 yearly. Both renew automatically until cancelled; Plus stays valid through the period you paid for. Free has no end and needs no card: the first 3 games and then 1 game a day fully coached, and a basic review of every other game.

Which languages does it speak?

The voice coach, the Windows app and Coach Mode speak English today. This website is also available in Russian, Czech, Slovak, Polish and Turkish.

Does it run on Mac or Linux?

No. Highground runs on Windows 10 and 11 today, installed from the Microsoft Store. There is no macOS or Linux build yet.
